Barack Obama

Formerly junior United States Senator from Illinois (Democrat), elected President of the United States November 2008.
Quote
"Instead of worrying about whether immigrants can learn English . . . you need to make sure your child can speak Spanish. [. . .] You should be thinking about how can your child become bilingual . . . It's embarrassing . . . . when Europeans come over here, they all speak English . . . . And then we go over to Europe, and all we can say is merci beaucoup."

Comment: As Phyllis Schlafly states in her article, "[A] Zogby Poll reports that 83% of Americans favor legislation to make English our official language. Thirty states have designated English as the official language [. . .] and 10 more are considering such legislation. [. . .] Obama voted in the U.S. Senate against making English our official language on four roll call votes."

Barack Obama

Quote
"To avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully. The more politically active black students. The foreign students, The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists and punk-rock performance poets. We smoked cigarettes and wore leather jackets. At night, in the dorms, we discussed neocolonialism, Franz Fanon, Eurocentrism, and patriarchy. When we ground out our cigarettes in the hallway carpet or set our stereos so loud that the walls began to shake, we were resisting bourgeois society's stifling conventions. [. . .] [I]t remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names."

Writing in his autobiography, Dreams from My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance (1995, pages 100-101), about his time at Occidental College in Los Angeles, California.

Comment: Obama has shown very clearly his radical tendencies. The question is: as President, will he choose to advance his racist, far-left, extremist ideas? Given his friends, his rhetoric, and his history, how can we expect anything else?

Barack Obama

Quote
"My job this morning is to be so persuasive . . . that a light will shine through that window, a beam of light will come down upon you, you will experience an epiphany, and you will suddenly realize that you must go to the polls and vote for Barack."

Comment: Some suggest Obama is the Messiah. I suggest he is a megalomaniac. He is a Pied Piper who, skillfully, with the wholehearted support of the mainstream media and the Democrat party, will lead Americans to socialism and despair.

Barack Obama

Quote
"I personally would want to see our tragic history, or the tragic elements of our history, acknowledged. I consistently believe that when it comes to whether it's Native American or African American issues or reparations, the most important thing for the U.S. government to do is not just offer words, but offer deeds."

Speaking in Chicago at the July 27, 2008 Unity Convention for ethnocentric minority journalists. (The audience was almost exclusively non-white.)

Comment: So Barack Obama is on record as favoring reparations. Harper’s Magazine has estimated that the total reparations due is over 100 trillion dollars. I guess that should destroy America about as well as any other Obama program. Personally, I prefer this reparations plan: Every American who presently owns slaves should give a million dollars to every American who presently is a slave.

Comment: McClatchy Newspapers reports that congressional officials say (as of March 2, 2009) the $410 billion omnibus spending bill Congress is sending to Mr. Obama has 9,000 earmarks totaling $5 billion. That's 9,000 earmarks! I guess we're learning campaign rhetoric has absolutely nothing to do with actual intentions, or the truth. Oh, by the way, Obama himself sponsored millions of dollars in earmarks in the spending bill.

Comment: Human Events says, "According to the U.S. Department of State, the United States has approximately 2.3 million Muslims (0.8% of the total population). That places the U.S. 52nd in Muslim population. America's numbers compare to Eritrea (2.8 million), Malawai (2.4 million), and Kenya (2.36 million). The top ten Muslim populations range from 20 million to 32 million." Why would Mr. Obama make such a stupid mistake?

Barack Obama

Quote
"I have to side with Justice Breyer's view of the Constitution -- that it is not a static, but rather a living document and must be read in the context of an ever-changing world."

Comment: David Dieteman comments that a "living constitution" means that, "rather than having the meaning of the words on the paper, the federal constitution means whatever it ought to mean at a given time. It necessarily follows from this that it will not mean the same thing at different times. [. . .] [A] 'living' constitution is no constitution at all -– it is in fact nothing." And that's the point: if constitutional meaning can be twisted and turned at whim, then those in power can totally corrupt it. And that, of course, is exactly what so many on the left wish to do.

Barack Obama

Quote
"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can't pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government's reckless fiscal policies. . . . Increasing America's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that 'the buck stops here.' Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better."

Quote
"What we do know is that the natural protests that arose [in Benghazi] because of the outrage over the video were used as an excuse by extremists to see if they can also directly harm U.S. interests."

Said during a televised Univision Network townhall meeting on September 20, 2012, nine days after the Benghazi attack. We now know this was an outrageous lie, designed to deceive the American public into believing Obama's policies in Libya were successful.

He asks that we not believe his state department or top intelligence officials who testify that this narrative is false."

Barack Obama

"We don't have a spending problem."

Said to House Speaker John Boehner during closed-door "fiscal cliff" negotiations in late December (2012) or early January (2013). Mr. Boehner revealed the quotation to Stephen Moore of the Wall Street Journal in an interview during the first week of January (2013).

She adds, "Throughout the election, voters (even young people) ranked the growing debt as their second or third concern behind the economy. Ignoring that is [. . .] patently irresponsible."

Attorney Cleta Mitchell cited a report which revealed that of 162 organizations being scrutinized by the IRS, 83 percent of them were conservative groups. Rep. Raul Labrador (R-ID) said "I find it fascinating that this administration says that there is not a smidgen of corruption, which I think will be the lie of this year."

"Now let's make [. . .] clear: ISIL is not Islamic. No religion condones the killing of innocents, and the vast majority of ISIL's victims have been Muslim."

Comment: Well, let's see now. Wikipedia says ISIL stands for "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant." So Mr. Obama would have us believe the Islamic State isn't Islamic. So then can we conclude the United States of America has nothing to do with 50 united states? Are we to believe the Catholic Church isn't Catholic? That the Jewish Torah isn't Jewish? At this point in time are we surprised Mr. Obama lies to us? Don't we have enough evidence that lying is what Mr. Obama does best? And apparently does most?

Comment: Yes, I guess you could say Islam has always been part of America. The first countries to declare war on the newly formed United States were the Muslim Barbary States of North Africa. From 1783, until the Presidency of George Washington in 1789, the newborn Republic had no strong central authority, and that is when the Barbary pirates struck. Yes, Islam has always been part of America -- a hostile, aggressive, hate-America part of America. (Reference.)

Quote
"In a free country we've got these powerful corporate interests who seem to control everything at the top. We have to pull them down. How do we pull them down? Well, first of all, we have state confiscation of their land. But second, we need very high tax rates. [How high?] There's no limit. Even a 100 percent tax rate would be okay, as long as the benefit goes to the state and to society."

"For many folks, those nutritious family meals are a thing of the past, because a lot of people today are living in communities without a single grocery store, so they have to take two, three buses, a taxi, walk for miles just to buy a head of lettuce for a salad or to get some fresh fruit for their kids."

These people are wild. They're out of control. They're dangerous!

Little Ms. "Seize-the-Assets" continued her rant by blaming American citizens: "We're all culpable in America. We all fill up our gas-guzzler cars. We all don't have solar power on our window[s]. We have been sold the drugs by the dealer, which is our own government, of oil, and we've been shootin' up and we're addicted to it. . . It's making all of us sick, just as if we were shootin' heroin. . . This time, we've screwed with Mother Earth. We broke the freakin' womb of Mother Earth. . . Comment: Never let it be said Mr. Olbermann can't throw mud with the best of them. The image liberals have of kindness, compassion, and love is fading fast. Olbermann later "apologized" about the rant, saying he was sorry . . . because he left out the word "sexist." (See the video.)

Keith Olbermann

Quote
"If racism is not the whole of the Tea Party, it is in its heart, along with blind hatred, a total disinterest in the welfare of others, and a full-flowered self-rationalizing refusal to accept the outcomes of elections, or the reality of democracy, or the narrowness of their minds and the equal narrowness of their public support."

Said on MSNBC's Countdown show, March 22, 2010.

Comment: Mr. Olbermann, are you familiar with the idea of psychological projection? Here's a definition: "Psychological projection is a form of defense mechanism in which someone attributes thoughts, feelings, and ideas which are perceived as undesirable to someone else. For example, someone who harbors racist ideas while believing that racism is socially undesirable might come to believe that a friend is racist, projecting his or her racism onto the other person."

Quote
"We are at war with Russia. Or perhaps more correctly, we have lost a war with Russia without a battle. We are no longer a sovereign nation, we are no longer a democracy, we are no longer a free people, we are the victims of a bloodless coup -- so far a bloodless coup -- engineered by Russia with, at best, the traitorous indifference of the Republican Party and Donald John Trump, a man who, to borrow a phrase from another Democrat long ago, will live in infamy." Also: "The nation and all of our freedoms hang by a thread, and the military apparatus of this country is about to be handed over to scum! Who are beholden to scum?! Russian scum! As things are today, January 20th will not be an inauguration, but rather the end of the United States as an independent country. It will not be a peaceful change of power. It will be a usurpation, and the usurper has no validity, no credibility, and no authority under the Constitution."

Said on or about December 13, 2016 in a heated commentary in which he angrily pounded his fist on his desk. Olbermann claimed that allowing President-elect Donald Trump to be sworn into office could mean the end to future elections in America.

Comment: First, we are not a democracy. We never were. We are a republic! (". . . and to the republic for which it stands . . .") Second, the only challenge to our status as a sovereign nation comes from the United Nations and the Left. Third, anyone who thinks Russia has staged a coup in the U.S. is completely off his rocker. Olbermann's tirade sounds like an out-of-control temper tantrum. Very childish. And fourth, if Mr. Olbermann took a look at the U.S. Constitution, he might see that Trump's election is one hundred percent in accord with its specifications. (My, oh my, how leftists loose it when they don't get their way.)

Quote
"[Donald Trump's words] are not words of sanity! These are the rages and the boasts and the madness that we have seen throughout history: Saddam Hussein, Mussolini, Fidel Castro, Ma Tse Dung, Stalin, Pol Pot, bin Laden, Hitler."

Comment: I would humbly suggest that the words of Keith Olbermann are not the words of sanity.

Quote
"So, let us brace ourselves. The task is two-fold: the terrorist Trump must be defeated, must be destroyed, must be devoured at the ballot box, and then he, and his enablers, and his supporters, and his collaborators . . . must be prosecuted and convicted and removed from our society."

Comment: I am a Donald Trump supporter. Exactly how am I to be "removed from our society?" The "compassionate" Left reveals itself once again as vicious, dangerous, and anything but compassionate. And by the way, there are tens of millions of Donald Trump supporters. Are they all to be "prosecuted and convicted and removed" from society?

Quote
"We want the prisons so filled with Trumps, and Trump flunkies, and Trump apologists, and Trump enablers, that we have to convert Trump buildings into new God-d***ed Trump prisons."

Comment: I have never before seen such hatred of an American President. I understand disagreement, but Democrat hatred of Donald Trump seems to have no limit. He seems more despised than Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, Pol Pot, Heinrich Himmler, or Saddam Hussein. Worse, the hatred apparently applies equally to anyone who liked Trump, still likes him, voted for him, or likes what he accomplished. That totals more than 75 million people! And that's a whole lot of hate!
