Friend-of-Freedom Awards

These awards have been established by the Gielow Family Foundation to recognize and honor those individuals and/or groups who, in the judgement of the Board of Directors, are particularly deserving for their dedication to the cause of freedom in America today.

It's gratifying to note there are many individuals and groups deserving of these Awards; individuals and groups striving tirelessly on behalf of American traditions and ideals to right wrongs, alert the public to the enemies of freedom, and influence policy so this country can be returned to its foundation of conservative principles.

Friend-of-Freedom Awards are intended to give particular attention to individuals and groups who, to date, have received insufficient recognition for their dedication, sacrifice, and service.

The world is a better place because of the work these people do and have done. They are inspirations for other Americans who long for, and strive to make our country, a place where freedom once again flourishes, indeed, where freedom reigns.

YEAR 2001 FRIEND-OF-FREEDOM AWARD WINNER

This award was presented during the Freedom 21 Conference at the St. Louis Airport Marriott Hotel July 13th by Gielow Family Foundation president Fred Gielow. All 2001 recipients, except Mr. Irvine and Representative Paul, were in attendance at the conference. (A death in his family prevented Representative Paul from attending.)

Ron Paul

Representative Ron Paul

For his brave support of legislation that serves American interests instead of special interests and his rejection of legislation that conflicts in any way with the stipulations of the U.S. Constitution. This noble countryman fights against a strong current that moves to socialize America, strengthen world government, and limit our freedoms. His efforts to get us out of the United Nations merit the highest of praise. We need 300 more Ron Pauls in the U.S. House of Representatives and at least 60 Ron Pauls in the U.S. Senate. The Founding Fathers would be rightly proud of Representative Ron Paul and his great gifts to the cause of freedom.
