"Quietly, with little public notice, private property has been disappearing across America at an alarming rate for more than a decade."Property owners are falling under the assault from an almost unintelligible maze of federal, state, county and local environmental laws, regulations, programs and taxes. That government assault is combined with a concerted effort by highly funded and politically powerful environmental groups. "Using regulations and programs that arise from Sustainable Development; the Endangered Species Act; wetland regulations; government land acquisition programs; Clean Air Act; biological diversity; forest regulations; land trusts; watershed protection; heritage corridors; green ways and eco-regions, the federal government is rapidly carving up the nation, and removing from use productive land and resources. In its wake, industries, farms and American dreams are being destroyed. . . . "Groups like the Sierra Club, the Audubon Society, the Nature Conservancy, National Wildlife Federation, the Wilderness Society, National Resources Defense Council and the Environmental Defense Council provide the legal research and courtroom advocacy to force property owners into submission. These groups have become so powerful and feared that most major businesses will pay them 'green mail' and capitulate to their demands without putting up a fight. Smaller property owners, farmers, ranchers and family businesses have little chance to hang on to their property once the attack begins. . . . "The nation's economic system is based on the ownership of private property. "The belief that boys are being wrongly 'masculinized' is inspiring a movement to 'construct boyhood in ways that will render boys less competitive, more emotionally expressive, more nuturing -- more in short like girls. Gloria Steinem summarizes the views of many . . . when she says 'We need to raise boys like we raise girls.'"As girl partisans see it, violence is 'gendered' and its gender is male. They regard male aggression as the root of most social evils. . . . "Resocializing boys in the direction of femininity is now high on the educational agenda of many educators, women's institutions and government officials. . . . "When the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in 1996 that the Virginia Military Institute was violating the Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution by excluding women, it dealt an almost fatal blow to same-sex education for boys. . . . "What Christina Hoff Sommers describes as the feminist war against boys is in essence a war against patriarchal masculinity that was developed as a revolutionary tool by the Frankfurt School apparatus with its 'The Authoritarian Personality'. It was brought into more forceful play by Herbert Marcuse of the Frankfurt School. . . . The state arose, beginning in the 15th century, to provide security, and part of the reason the state is now in crisis is that it no longer does that effectively. The United States is currently attempting to provide security in Afghanistan and the Balkans, but cannot maintain it one thousand yards from the U.S. Capitol after nightfall. In virtually every country, including the U.S., one of the biggest growth industries is the private security business. Nothing testifies more clearly to the failure of the state."In most countries, again including the U.S., the state has become the bureaucratic state, and the bureaucratic state has produced the New Class. The New Class, the Establishment elite that rules regardless of elections, has three basic characteristics: it can't make things work (America's public schools), it uses its power and position to exempt itself from the consequences of things not working (the New Class's children go to private schools), and it really cares about only one thing, which is remaining the New Class. As the New Class becomes synonymous with the state, people cease to identify with the state; they come to see it as merely another racket. "The New Class transferred its loyalty away from the state years ago, following World War I. Instead, it identifies with the trans-national super-state: the U.N., the European Community, "One World," the New World Order. The elite expected that the plebs would eventually do the same. And they are, in that ordinary people too are now transferring their loyalty away from the state. But instead of giving it to larger, more abstract, more bureaucratic entities, they are giving it to more narrow, concrete ones: to ethnic groups and races, to religions and cultures, to regions, gangs, ideologies, to animal rights, environmentalism, gun owners' rights, etc. And many people who would never fight for the state will fight for their new primary loyalty; the environmentalist who buries a saw blade in a tree, hoping to kill a logger, is committing an act of war, not just a crime." -- From "Why Islam Is a Threat to American and the West," Essays On Our Times, by Paul M. Read over the public address system by principal Jody McLoud of Roane County High School in Kingston, Tennessee:"It has always been the custom at Roane County High School football games to say a prayer and play the National Anthem to honor God and Country. Due to a recent ruling by the Supreme Court, I am told that saying a prayer is a violation of Federal Case Law. "As I understand the law at this time, I can use this public facility to approve of sexual perversion and call it an alternate life-style and if someone is offended, that's okay. "I can use it to condone sexual promiscuity by dispensing condoms and calling it safe sex. If someone is offended, that's okay. "I can even use this public facility to present the merits of killing an unborn baby as a viable means of birth control. If someone is offended, no problem. "I can designate a school day as earth day and involve students in activities to religiously worship and praise the goddess, Mother Earth, and call it ecology. "I can use literature, videos and presentations in the classroom that depict people with strong, traditional, Christian convictions as simple minded and ignorant and call it enlightenment. "However, if anyone uses this facility to honor God and ask Him to bless this event with safety and good sportsmanship, Federal Case Law is violated. "The Nation of Islam was founded in the summer of 1930 by a black door-to-door peddler named Wallace D. Fard in the black section of Detroit. He built a tightly knit cult that looked to him as 'Ruler of the Universe,' and he called his meeting halls the 'Temple of Islam' and his movement the 'Nation of Islam.' He introduced his followers to the Koran, and as his speeches became bitter denunciations of the white race, he instituted a para-military unit called the 'Fruit of Islam' to teach military tactics and firearm training against the predicted day of white backlash. In just three years he had acquired 8,000 followers and amassed a small fortune."It was around this time that Fard appointed one of his early disciples, Elijah Poole, as chief Minister of Islam. Elijah Poole then changed his name to Elijah Muhammad, and within a few months, W.D. Fard mysteriously disappeared, never to be heard from again. Not surprisingly, Elijah Muhammad assumed leadership of the Nation of Islam. . . . "According to Black Muslim theology, black really is the symbolic color of good and white the color of evil, so the whiter Yakub's creatures became, the more evil they became. "April [was] 'Child Abuse Prevention Month,' according to the Department of Health and Human Services. . . ."[C]hild abuse takes place overwhelmingly in the homes and at the hands of single parents. "A study just released by the Heritage Foundation confirms that children are up to 33 times more likely to be abused in a single-parent home than in an intact family. 'Contrary to public perception,' write Patrick Fagan and Dorothy Hanks, 'research shows that the most likely physical abuser of the young child will be that child's mother, not a male in the household.' A 1966 HHS study found that 'almost two-thirds [of child abusers] were females,' and mothers accounted for 55% of child murders according to a 1994 Justice Department report. "As Maggie Gallagher writes in her 1996 book, The Abolition of Marriage: 'The person most likely to abuse a child physically is a single mother. The person most likely to abuse a child sexually is the mother's boyfriend or second husband. . . . Divorce, though usually portrayed as a protection against domestic violence, is far more frequently a contributing cause.' . . . . "[T]he safest place for a child is an intact, two-parent home -- that is, a home with a father in it. . . . "Yet removing fathers is precisely what family court judges routinely do at the mere request of mothers, who file two-thirds to nine-tenths of divorces. . . . [E]very major social pathology is strongly linked to father absence, including violent crime, drug abuse, truancy, unwed pregnancy, and suicide. . . ."Arizona State University psychologist Sanford Braver . . . found that mothers, usually without legal grounds, file two-thirds of divorces. Other studies put the proportions at 85-90%. Mothers, not fathers, are leaving marriages in droves. . . . "The moment a mother files for divorce, the government seizes effective control of the children. With no evidence of wrongdoing, the father's contact with them is from that point criminalized. The forcibly divorced father can then be evicted and plundered by a powerful machine of judges, lawyers, psychotherapists, and enforcement agencies, who all have a vested interest in encouraging divorce and separating children from their fathers. Windfall child-support awards subsidize divorce and fatherless homes and encourage more mothers to divorce. "Some now predict two-thirds of marriages will end in divorce. About 80% of the 1.5-million divorces yearly are unilateral, and about three-fifths involve children, more than a million annually. It would seem then that at least 700,000 parents are involuntarily divorced every year, whereupon control of their children, finances, and private lives is taken over by the government. . . . "[M]any . . . fathers are reduced to servitude by bureaucratic courts and bureaucratic police who set the very child-support guidelines they adjudicate and enforce and which they have an interst in making as onerous as possible. The Frankfurt School [established in 1923 at Frankfurt University in Frankfurt, Germany] . . . understood very clearly that women are the carriers of the culture in any society. The most important job in any society is left to the woman and that is the transmission of the culture to the next generation. So if you could recruit women into an effort to destroy that culture, you have struck the culture a deadly blow. That's what feminism has done. . . ."Cultural Marxism translates a lot of the traditional Marxist framework into cultural terms. Whereas the old economic Marxism said that workers and peasants are automatically good and capitalists and aristocrats are automatically evil (regardless of what an individual does), so the new Cultural Marxism says that blacks, Hispanics, homosexuals, feminists, etc., are automatically good and white males are automatically evil and, by the way, non-feminist women don't exist. . . . "The key in the intellectual work in the Frankfurt School in the 1930s to creating Cultural Marxism was to cross Marx with Sigmund Freud. One of the things they got out of Freud and out of psychology generally was the use of the psychological conditioning techniques. For example, the sensitivity training that many colleges and employers are forcing students and employees to undergo. It is not an intellectual argument -- it is psychological conditioning. "In crossing Marx with Freud, the Frankfurt School came up with a thesis that says that, just as under capitalism, the working class is automatically oppressed. So under Western culture, blacks, homosexuals, women -- everybody but white males -- are automatically the objects of oppression. . . . "So this is very much an ideology and it is becoming the official state ideology in this country. This is the first time in our history that America is becoming an ideological state, a country with an official ideology enforced by the power of the state. That's what so-called 'hate crime' laws are about. That's what affirmative action laws are about. These are all the use of government power to enforce the ideology of political correctness, or more accurately, Cultural Marxism. . . . "Herbert Marcuse of the Frankfurt School understood that, ultimately, you would not bring down Western culture with philosophical writings about 12-tone music. You are going to bring it down through 'sex, drugs and rock-and-roll.' . . . "So you see the very basic concepts of things like freedom and toleration are being redefined in sort of a newspeak fashion here and you see this on [college] campuses today. "And you see it dramatically. In effect, left-wing students are allowed to engage in any outrage -- book burning or what have you -- but the slightest protest from students on the right are hauled up before some star chamber college judicial system and threatened with expulsion. This traces back to the writings of Marcuse. . . . "You'll notice today that the politically correct immediately dismiss any attempt to talk about reality in, for example, immigration policy. That's 'prejudice.' "Historically, the United Nations could not take any action inside the borders of a sovereign nation without a request from that nation. No more. In their speeches to the U.N. Millennium Assembly, both President Clinton and Kofi Annan made statements to the effect that no longer can national sovereignty be used as an excuse to prevent effective action by the community of nations."The Commission on Global Governance [CGG] suggests that the time has come when the concept of national sovereignty must evolve into the concept of 'sovereign equality,' enforced by the United Nations, of course. This is nothing more than a new name for the old idea 'from each according to his ability; to each according to his need' -- as determined by a central governing authority. . . . "The CGG recommended the creation of an International Criminal Court. This was accomplished in 1998, at a conference in Rome. It is expected to enter into force [the middle of this month] . . . . "U.S. veto power [in the U.N. Security Council] and the possibility of losing more than one-fourth of its funding, are the primary reasons the U.N. has not become the world government it has so long wanted to be. The idea of surrendering U.S. veto power is unthinkable to many Americans. Yet it has been the subject of discussions at the U.S. State Department throughout the Clinton years. . . . "The standing army under U.N. command is a partial reality. Presidential Directive 25, issued by President Clinton, is reported to assure the United Nations that the U.S. will provide its share of troops. The report is classified, and only staff summaries have been made available to the public. "Canada, and at least 12 other nations have committed to providing troops 6,000 strong. This gives the United Nations a good start, with combined forces totaling nearly 100,000. There is still considerable uncertainty in exactly when, and how, these troops may be deployed. They are available, but not yet completely under the day-to-day command of the [U.N.] Secretary General. "The final requirement [to achieve global governance], independent funding, is nearly reality. The Tobin Tax -- a tax on foreign currency exchange -- was proposed in the late 1970s, but was not seriously considered until the report of the CGG. Since then, the idea has been promoted by virtually all the U.N. agencies and NGO [Non-Governmental Organization] members of civil society. Several nations, including Canada, have officially approved the concept. A Resolution now pending in the U.S. Congress (HConRes301) also calls for approval of this tax. . . . "Most Americans have no idea this is happening. Many don't want to know. For the most part, those who know are the leaders of the various NGOs who are actively promoting these policies. "The people of the United States are the only power on earth strong enough to prevent global governance from taking control of the entire planet. "As America grew, the New England states were principally into manufacturing while the Southern States were chiefly focused on agriculture. The aristocrats of the North looked down upon the farmers of the South. Our federal government favored the North due to its wealth and tax base. This made it difficult for the Southern population so they decided to leave the union of states and [form] their own. President Abraham Lincoln . . . decided that such could not happen and proceeded to declare war on the South. . . ."Lincoln declared Martial Law and adjourned Congress. . . He had to use the power of the Army to conscript soldiers to fight his war. He won his war by [destroying] the South, which set the South back 100 years. Since he was killed while in office, Martial Law rule was never suspended. About that time the United States of America was incorporated for [the] purpose of limited liability due to the onerous Reconstruction Act. Now we have two United States of America! Since that time most of the states of the union have followed suit. They are now incorporated, but not bankrupt like the Corporate United States. ". . . Franklin Roosevelt . . . did much the same as Lincoln. He also suspended the Constitution and Bill of Rights in favor of his wars with Japan and Germany. He gave us a Democracy versus a Republic, bankrupted the United States, replaced the Common Law, gave our money system to a private bank, padded the Supreme Court, gave us the United Nations and brought in Socialism. . . "Now what can we do? We can teach our children the truth at home and keep them away from the public schools. "The Wildlands Project is a grand scheme, written by Dr. Reed Noss under contract with The Nature Conservancy and the Audubon Society, to convert 'at least half' of North America to core wilderness areas, off limits to humans. The core areas are to be connected by 'corridors of wilderness,' and surrounded by 'buffer zones,' managed by government for conservation objectives. People are to be moved into 'sustainable communities,' defined in Agenda 21."The Convention on Biological Diversity was signed by Bill Clinton, but not ratified by the U.S. Senate. This treaty calls for a 'system of protected areas.' The system of protected areas is defined in the U.N. publication Global Biodiversity Assessment . . . . "It didn't matter to the Clinton administration that the Senate refused to ratify this treaty. The ecosystem Management Policy was implemented anyway. Among the broad changes that the policy required, is this: 'EPA must make ecosystem protection a primary goal of the Agency, on a par with human health. . .' . . . "No elected officials voted to adopt this policy. Nor did any elected officials vote to set aside the millions of acres as wilderness, which effectively complied with the requirements of the unratified Convention on Biological Diversity, when then President Clinton designated a rash of 'National Monuments' administratively. The administrative decree to set aside more than 60 million acres as 'Roadless' areas, in the last days of the Clinton administration, was a further effort to implement as much of the unratified treaty as possible. . . . "When the poor innocent 'Native Americans' (the ones we pay reparations to) came to America, they did what every other people did when they came in: They slaughtered the locals and took their land. (Yes, what we call 'Native Americans' killed the real native Americans.) The only thing whites did to the Indians that was unique was to provide reservations to the natives they were driving out. "[T]oday, written law tends to be viewed as meaning nothing unless and until a court has issued a decision regarding its meaning, application and implications. Therefore, today the law is not necessarily the friend of a person appearing in court. Star Decisis [which means: 'the decision has been made already. Don't make the decision over again. Look to past decisions and apply them today, with the most recent decision having the force of law.'], though, is clearly the enemy of someone who unjustly loses in court. What this means is that when we deal with government agents, especially those who are lawyers, we must speak about court decisions, viewing written law as inferior, setting aside Codes, forgetting the significance of statutes and turning our back upon the words of the state and federal constitutions. "Ever since its birth in the deserts of Arabia in the 7th century A.D., Islam has expanded by warfare, terrorism, and the ruthless repression of rival religions like Christianity and Judaism. While Christianity spread throughout the Roman Empire, medieval Europe, and much of the Western hemisphere mainly through the evangelism of missionaries who risked their lives in challenging pagan superstitions and persecution, Islam spread by the military conquest of other peoples and the suppression of their religions."Christianity teaches its followers to 'render unto God that which is God's and to Caesar that which is Caesar's' -- and thus recognizes an important distinction between the secular and the sacred -- but Islam demands total and unconditional submission (the word 'Islam' in fact means 'submission') to the religious laws the Koran declares and to the state that enforces them. Many scholars trace the origins of modern constitutional government back to the Bible, but the only form of government that Islam recognizes is theocracy -- the rule of God (Allah) and divine laws as interpreted by the Muslim clergy. That is why in such Muslim states today as Saudi Arabia, Iran, and (until recently) Afghanistan, the repressive and totalitarian rule of 'sharia' -- the law of Islam -- is imposed by the state, regardless of what its subjects believe or want. "Thus, even though Mohammed, the founder of the Islamic faith, died in 732 A.D., by [the year] 656, Islamic warriors had conquered not only all of the Arabian peninsula but also most of the Middle East, including what are today the countries of Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Israel, Iraq, and Iran. Today we speak of most of these countries as being 'Arabic,' but they are Arabic only because the Arabs who were the original Muslims eventually replaced the native populations, languages, and cultures of these lands. "The Muslim demand for war against any and all who do not share the Islamic faith is made clear by the description of historian Carl Brockelmann in his definitive History of the Islamic Peoples (p. 43): 'The Muslim must show only hostility to infidels when encountered; war against them is a religious duty. "All government is bad, but some kinds are worse than others, and Prof. [Hans-Hermann] Hoppe [professor of economics at University of Nevada, Las Vegas] argues strongly that democracy is much worse than monarchy. The crux of his argument is that kings behave like owners who want to keep up the value of their property, while democratically elected rulers act like tenants who want to get as much out of their temporary occupancy as possibly. A king has a proprietary, long-term interest in his country and wants to pass it on to his heirs in the best possible condition. A president is different: 'Instead of maintaining or even enhancing the value of the government estate as a king would do, a president . . . will use up as much of the government resources as quickly as possible, for what he does not consume now he may never be able to consume.'"Likewise, kings are not in the business of large-scale transfer of wealth from one class of citizens to another. There are limits to what the nobles and the people will tolerate, and it is clear to everyone if a king unfairly takes something from a subject and gives it to another. Prof. Hoppe recognizes that the popular image of monarchy is one of ruthless exploitation, but points out that not even the most powerful kings had anything like the tax-gathering powers common in democratic countries.
