"Of course, some hard-core environmentalists believe their own propaganda -- they sincerely believe that man is the scourge of the Earth and that his numbers must be reduced and his effect on the environment radically curtailed. But there are others who know better and who are trying to create widespread fear through overblown or manufactured environmental 'crises' to justify global, authoritarian controls. Their largest and most ambitious manufactured 'crisis' thus far is the myth of human-caused global warming.

"If this myth becomes entrenched in world agreements to diminish hydrocarbon fuel use, the cost will be not just hundreds of billions of dollars but countless numbers of human lives. More than two billion of the world's people live on the very edge of human existence. To them, the rise or fall of world technology is not a matter of 'conveninece' or 'quality of life.' It is instead a matter of human survival. If world economic conditions deteriorate, hundreds of millions of these people are going to die. The remainder, losing their chance to lift themselves from poverty, will slip backward into the dim twilight in which they suffer silently amid poverty, disease and death.

"These deaths and this suffering would not be unintended consequences of supposedly well-intentioned proposals. They are the true objectives of many environmental extremists who want to radically reduce the world's population, and they are means to an end for a global power elite. Both the radical environmentalists and this power elite are joined in this campaign by unprincipled businessmen who expect short-term profits from hydrocarbon controls, political hacks who support flagging political careers with the pseudo-environmental vote, government bureaucrats who expect to expand their empires by additional regulations -- and many millions of fearful people who are being frightened into supporting a deadly, coercive agenda they do not understand."

"Today the CDC [Centers for Disease Control] is telling us that our children need to get 37 doses of 11 vaccines and every state mandates most of them. The addition of 2 doses of flu vaccine for infants will bring that total to 39 doses of 12 vaccines. And this, in the absence of long-term, case-controlled, methodologically-sound clinical studies and basic scientific research to evaluate the potential long term adverse effects on the developing brain and immune system of repeated vaccination in early childhood, as well as the possible life-long adverse effects of removing all natural immunity to diseases, such as influenza, in early childhood.

"Before CDC officials add annual flu vaccinations to the recommended list of childhood vaccines, they should be required to explain to the public why so many already highly vaccinated American children are stuck on sick and suffering from chronic brain and immune system problems that cost Americans billions of dollars in health care and education every year. There aren't enough special education classrooms in the US to handle the learning disabled, hyperactive, autistic, asthmatic, epileptic, diabetic children, whose numbers have doubled in the past 20 years at precisely the same time the numbers of doses of required childhood vaccines has nearly doubled. Coincidence? Maybe. Or maybe not. Those officials in charge of the public health better look to themselves and get busy finding out why we have such a child health crisis in this country when nearly 95 percent of our children receive more vaccines than any other child population in the world."

"A new study just released by the Center for Immigration Studies explains what caused twelve congressional seats to be transferred from some states to other states. This shift in House seats was based on the 2000 census which counted the residence of persons -- not of voters.

"The persons who were counted in the 2000 census included seven million illegal aliens and twelve million other non-citizens (legal non-citizens and temporary visitors who are mainly foreign students or guest workers). This count created congressional districts with large non-voter populations.

"When the Clinton Administration failed to enforce our federal immigration laws, and when Governor Gray Davis's administration encouraged illegals to come to California in large numbers by nullifying the initiative that would have cut off state-financed social services (Proposition 187), the Democrats accomplished a change in the political landscape to benefit their candidates.

"In California's 31st district, 43% of the residents are non-citizens, and in the 34th district, 38% are non-citizens. In Florida's 21st district, 28% are non-citizens. The non-citizens are (hopefully) non-voters. But their very presence gives enormous weight to the legitimate voters in those districts.

"The Constitution does not require us to include non-citizens in the reapportionment count. However, in 1979 and 1988, the courts refused to hear a challenge to the practice of including illegal aliens in the census count for purposes of reapportionment. . . .

"In addition to dealing with the equal protection problems of reapportionment, Congress should make other changes to improve the integrity of the election process. Among these changes should be requiring proof of citizenship to vote, and banning foreign language ballots (since the law requires that immigrants be able to speak English in order to become a naturalized citizen)."

"We have arrived at the 'Perfect Storm' of American cultural depravity. Along with photos of Iraqi prisoners being abused in an American prison, we now apparently have photos of American soldiers having sex and committing homosexual acts on prisoners. . . .

"None of this happened by accident. It is directly due to cultural depravity advanced in the name of progress and amplified by a sensation-hungry media.

"We were told putting women into combat areas is progressive and enlightened.

"We were told pornography is liberating, and that anyone who objects is a narrow-minded Puritan who needs therapy. . . .

"We were told homosexuality is harmless and normal, and the military should live with a 'don't ask, don't tell' policy that allows homosexuals to stay in the barracks. . . .

"[I]sn't it time for liberals to apologize for systematically aiding and abetting the cultural depravity that produced the Iraq scandal? In a thousand ways, liberals have hammered away at the most basic moral restraints that allow us liberty under the law."

-- Excerpts from "We Made These Soldiers," by Robert H. Knight, writing on "Iraq Scandal Is 'Perfect Storm' of American Culture," in WorldNetDaily on May 12, as reported in "Culture, Etc.", The Washington Times National Weekly Edition, May 31-June 6, 2004, page 28. "Do the American people want to live by our U.S. Constitution, or do they want to live by the U.N. Charter? Do the American people have a choice? Which document rules our lives today? There are two sides in this, and both are equally determined they are right. We the people must decide, and soon.

"On one side the Supreme Court has said, Miranda v Arizona:
Where rights secured by the Constitution are involved, there can be no rule making, or legislation, which would abrogate them.
"The other side says, in Sei Fujii v California, [and] the court has declared:
The Charter [of the United Nations] has become the Supreme Law of the Land; and the judges in every state shall be bound thereby, anything in the Constitution, or the laws of any state to the contrary notwithstanding.
"In Reid v Covert, the Supreme Court has said,
This court has regularly, and uniformly, recognized the supremacy of the Constitution over a treaty.
". . . Three of our Supreme Court Justices have now said that they will take into consideration the laws of other countries when making decisions on this country's laws. These Justices are all members of the CFR [Council on Foreign Relations].

"Our Constitution protects the rights of private property. Our government is now taking our lands, and putting it under the control of the United Nations, without a hearing for the people, or the permission of Congress. . . .

"Our government is now paying with our tax dollars to ship our jobs overseas to third world countries, as is obligatory under the U.N. Charter. . . .

"To what extent does the United Nations Charter control the lives of the American people? Are we now governed by the U.N. Charter, or are we governed by our Constitution? Do the American people still have what it takes to control our lives and our country's policies?"

"When a reform government was elected [in New Zealand] in 1984, it identified three problems: too much spending, too much taxing and too much government. The question was how to cut spending and taxes and diminish government's role in the economy. . . .

"As we started to work through this process, we . . . asked some fundamental questions of the [federal] agencies. The first question was, 'What are you doing?' The second question was, 'What should you be doing?' Based on the answers, we then said, 'Eliminate what you shouldn't be doing' -- that is, if you are doing something that clearly is not a responsibility of the government, stop doing it. . . .

"When we started this process with the Department of Transportation, it had 5,600 employees. When we finished, it had 53. When we started with the Forest Service, it had 17,000 employees. When we finished, it has 17. When we applied it to the Ministry of Works, it had 28,000 employees. I used to be Minister of Works, and ended up being the only employee. In the latter case, most of what the department did was construction and engineering, and there are plenty of people who can do that without government involvement. . .

"Some of the things that government was doing simply didn't belong to the government. So we sold off telecommunications, airlines, irrigation schemes, computing services, government printing offices, insurance companies, banks, securities, mortgages, railways, bus services, hotels, shipping lines, agricultural advisory services, etc. In the main, when we sold those things off, their productivity went up and the cost of their services went down, translating into major gains for the economy. . . .

"We achieved an overall reduction of 66 percent in the size of government, measured by the number of employees. The government's share of GDP dropped from 44 to 27 percent. . . [W]e used most of the surplus to pay off debt, and debt went from 63 percent down to 17 percent of GDP. . . We reduced income tax rates by half and eliminated incidental taxes. As a result of these policies, revenue increased by 20 percent. Yes, Ronald Reagan was right: lower tax rates do produce more revenue."

"Children deserve and desperately need firmness, patience, fairness, limits, kindness, insight and a good, non-hypocritical example. In other words, they need genuine parental love and guidance. If they don't get this, they will resent you. Even if you can't see it, even if they can't see it and deny it, they will resent you for failing to give them real love.

"And that resentment -- which becomes suppressed rage -- is a destructive, unpredictable, radioactive foreign element in their makeup, which transmutes into every manner of problem, complex and evil imaginable. It makes children feel compelled to rebel against you, and against all authority, out of revenge for your having failed them. And it makes everything forbidden -- from sex, to drugs, to tongue studs, to things worse -- seem attractive, a road to personal freedom. Rationalizations and philosophies that once they would have laughed at as ridiculous, now make sense to them. Practices they would have shunned in more innocent times, they now not only embrace, but celebrate. All of this occurs below the level of consciousness.

"Today's youth rebellion is not only against failing parents, but against the entire adult society -- against the children of the 1960s cultural revolution who grew up to become their parents. Unfortunately, many of us never shook off the transforming effects of that national trauma, which birthed the 'sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll' youth counterculture, the leftist hate-America movement, the women's liberation movement and overriding all, of course, the sexual revolution.

"So we grew up to elect one of our own -- a traumatized, amoral sociopath of a baby-boomer named Bill Clinton. (His wife and partner-in-crime, Hillary, is the most popular Democrat in American public life today, and has a good shot at being president one day.) If you don't think Bill Clinton's escapades with Monica -- covered by the media like the Super Bowl -- had everything to do with the explosion of middle-school sexual adventures across America, then open your eyes. We, the parents of this generation, along with the degrading entertainment media, the biased news media, the lying politicians, the brainwashing government schools system and the rest of society's once-great institutions whose degradation we have tolerated, are responsible."

"There are many faces of globalism and it comes with many names, but in all cases the goal of globalism is to erase national borders, eliminate national sovereignty, reduce national identities and move toward global governance through the United Nations. . . .

"Globalism is sold to the unsuspecting public with words like free trade, open borders and environmental protection, but it's really about redistribution of wealth; your wealth.

"It's about erasing national borders and national sovereignty. And it's about top-down control, not necessarily by elected officials, but by special interests called Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO's), which are only sanctioned by the United Nations.

"Globalism calls for a wrenching transformation of our society, away from representative government and independent nations to the establishment of a global village with global citizens. The entire plan is outlined in detail in the UN's Agenda 21, a treaty signed by then-President George Bush at the UN's Earth Summit in 1992. . . .

"Imagine an America in which a specific 'ruling principle' is created to decide proper societal conduct for every citizen. That principle would be used to consider everything you eat, what you wear, the kind of home you live in, the way you get to work, the way you dispose of waste, the number of children you may have, even your education and employment decisions. That 'ruling principle' is Sustainable Development.

"The goal of Sustainable Development is to transform the world into feudal-like governance by making NATURE the central organizing principle for our economy and society.

"This is what Sustainable Development policy advocates: 'Nature has an integral set of different values (cultural, spiritual, and material) where humans are one strand in nature's web and all living creatures are considered equal. Therefore, the natural way is the right way and human activities should be molded along nature's rhythms.' This quote comes from the UN's Biodiversity Treaty."

"Clinton's 1999 Executive Order 13112 . . . created a National Invasive Species Council and granted this group of 10 federal agencies with the role of providing 'national leadership' to prevent harm to the ecosystem and humankind. . . Invasive Species provisions were inserted into the Safe, Accountable, Flexible and Efficient Transportation Equity Act of 2004, S. 1072, now before the House. . . .

"Section 1(f) of Executive Order 13112 defines invasive species as any 'alien species whose introduction does or is likely to cause economic or environmental harm or harm to human health.' . . .

"Harm is a truly relative word. What, for instance, is the harm with a fruit tree or a golf course growing grass seed bred in Kentucky? Or a Siamese kitten? All can be construed invasive species, transported from out-of-county, out-of-state or out-of-country, with potential for harming the ecosystem. . . .

"Section 1(b) defines control as 'eradicating, suppressing, reducing or managing invasive species populations, preventing spread of invasive species from areas where they are present, and taking steps such as restoration of native species and habitats to reduce the effects of invasive species and to prevent further invasions.' [Note that those of us who migrated years ago from Europe could be considered 'invasive species', as could those of us from Africa or any other non-U.S. country. That's probably 95 percent plus of the U.S population!]

"If any invasive species are found on your lands, you'd better brace for the long haul because this section [1(b)] grants the government the right to circumvent whatever constitutional private property rights you thought you had, and exercise whatever authority it deems necessary to eradicate these fantasy threats to your health and the ecosystem."

"Today at least six million American children are diagnosed with some form of psychiatric disorder requiring medication. Under criteria voted on by the APA [American Psychiatric Association], any child can be diagnosed as having 'Attention Deficit Disorder' (ADD) or 'Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder' (ADHD). The criteria for 'ADHD' consists of 18 points, including 'has difficulty playing quietly,' 'often talks excessively' and 'often loses things.'

"In 1987, ADHD was added to the APA's Diagnostic & Statistical Manual for Mental Disorders (DSM). Within a year, the diagnosis had been given to 5000,000 American children. By 1997, it had reached 4.4 million.

"Dr. Fred A. Baughman Jr., a pediatric neurologist and Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology, says ADHD and other childhood psychiatric disorders and 'learning disabilities' are 'inventions, contrivances' and '100% fraud.' He says that the psychiatric tag of ADHD deceives parents into believing that their children have a mental disorder which requires heavy drugs. . . .

"Parents have repeatedly testified about bing threatened with their child's removal from school unless the child is taking some form of psychiatric drug."

"I want to alert you to . . . the growing probability of a major bio-terror attack on the U.S. mainland. It is coming, most experts privately agree -- and when it does -- the lives, liberty, and retirement security of the unprepared will be in jeopardy. . . .

"Washington Post columnist Anne Applebaum notes that there are already 20,000 labs in the world where a single person could synthesize any existing virus. In [any one of those] 20,000 labs, five people with $2 million can create an enhanced pathogen -- meaning a virus that will be able to infect even those people who have been immunized with conventional vaccines, and kill perhaps a billion of them. . . .

"A biological attack could come from a lab in any country, but the origin of the assault would be nearly impossible to determine. In short, the technology is becoming available for hidden attackers to kill millions of Americans with complete impunity, free from the threat of retaliation. . . .

"A close analysis of [a June 22-23, 2001] exercise reveals that federal contingency planners and academics are hammering out draconian emergency plans that will literally decide who will die, and who will get access to the government's limited stocks of vaccine. These elites will emerge as 'protectors of the public health' in a bio-terror emergency -- a situation in which large segments of the general public will be 'contained' in areas designated as contaminated, and left to fend for themselves. . . .

"The Stratfor Report notes that for Al Qaeda 'The grand prize would be triggering an election defeat for Bush, something that would clearly demonstrate the group's influence over Western powers.'"

"At the core of the Christian common law, the people are understood to be the owners of the law. Socialism considers law (and everything else) to belong to the government, or to be controlled by it. The police are under the control of whoever owns the law.

"Consider who are the most ardent gun control advocates in America. Senators Charles Schumer, Hillary Clinton, and Diane Finestein, are among the most eager to ban guns, and they are among the most socialist of our national politicians.

"In the House, a dedicated opponent of firearms ownership and self-defense, is Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, an avowed Socialist. This can be said because she is a member of the House Progressive Caucus, which is affiliated with the Democratic Socialists of America, which is affiliated with Socialist International.

"Socialism is based on the arrogant assumption that there are a few (elected or in power by force) who are uniquely suited to decide all issues of life. Folks who think like that are hardly likely to make an exception for their subjects to take personal responsibility for their own defense."

-- Excerpts from Gun Control Is Socialist, by Larry Pratt, eco-logic Powerhouse, September 2003, page 18. Address: Environmental Conservation Organization, 1200 North White Sands Boulevard, Suite 110, Alamogordo, New Mexico 88310. Phone: 731-986-0099. Fax: 505-434-8992. E-mail. Website.

"The anti-fast-food [law]suits are a logical extension of the premise behind the anti-tobacco suits: the denial of individual responsibility. The courts used to recognize the principle that manufacturers are not responsible for the misuse of their products -- that if individuals choose to smoke too much, or eat too much, or shoot innocent people, then the manufacturers of cigarettes, fast food, and firearms cannot be held responsible.

"But liability lawyers have argued that, despite decades of cancer warnings, smokers were helplessly manipulated by big tobacco companies into puffing 10 packs a day and giving themselves lung cancer. The same lawyers have applied this responsibility-free outlook to countless other suits. Shooting attacks, for example, are not an evil chosen by individual criminals; no, these lawyers argue, shootings are the fault of gun makers. And now they are going to tell us that no one knows that burgers and fries are fattening, that no one can help eating them, and that McDonald's, Burger King, and KFC should be made to pay for the results of their customers' expanding waistlines. . . .

"[The] view of man as a responsible individual capable of running his own life has long since been abandoned by the courts -- with ominous results.

"If people are viewed as passive victims, pushed helplessly into destructive behavior by advertising and by supposed addictions, then it follows that the government needs to step in and save us from ourselves. And worse, such Big Brother controls are now being imposed, not even by congressional vote, but by the extortion of an unaccountable clique of lawyers. The cost of abandoning the principle of personal responsibility is a kind of decentralized totalitarianism -- what legal scholar Walter Olson calls 'the rule of lawyers' -- in which the individual's judgement about how to live is constantly being overruled by the latest lawsuit."

-- Excerpts from "Reductio Ad Totalitarianism," by Robert W. Tracinski, The DeWeese Report, August 2003, page 7, published by the American Policy Center, 13873 Park Center Road, #316, Herndon, Virginia 20171. Phone: 703-925-0881. Fax: 703-925-0991. E-mail. Website.

"If Massachusetts law no longer recognizes the federal meaning of marriage, then all Massachusetts couples -- including opposite-sex couples who are married after the new definition takes effect -- will no longer be entitled to file a joint federal income tax return. Gay advocates want same-sex couples to claim the 1,049 benefits of marriage under federal law, but what is likely to happen instead is that opposite-sex couples married in Massachusetts will lose those same 1,049 federal benefits because federal laws recognize marriage as the union of 'husband and wife,' not the union of 'two persons.' . . .

"Gay activist groups are already starting to instruct same-sex couples to file joint income tax returns, so the Bush Administration should establish procedures right now in order that the bureaucracy will know how to handle the paperwork. . . .

"The Social Security Administration has already told its offices nationwide not to accept marriage certificates from San Francisco as proof of identification for newly-weds wanting to change their names on Social Security cards. This new policy also applies to heterosexual couples who wed after February 12 in San Francisco because the legality of San Francisco licenses is now in question.

"President Bush should immediately (1) instruct all federal agencies to prepare for energetic compliance with the 1,049 federal regulations impacted by DOMA [Defense of Marriage Act], (2) investigate whether Internal Revenue will have to reject joint tax returns from all couples (same-sex or opposite-sex) who are married in any county, state or country where the legal definitions of marriage and spouse are changed, and (3) investigate how federal funds can be withheld from states that permit the travesty called same-sex marriage.

"The battle against the judicial supremacists must proceed on all fronts including a constitutional amendment to protect marriage."

"No other race welcomes strangers into its homelands and then grants them racial preferences over the children of natives. No other race subsidizes racially alien underclasses and then blames itself for the fecklessness, incompetence and violence of these underclasses. No other race measures virtue by how many advantages it can offer to people as biologically unlike itself as possible, or by how loudly and persistently it can heap scorn on its own history, traditions, and ancestors. Members of no other race routinely adopt children of other races. . . .

"Midway through the 20th century, whites -- and only whites -- lost their instinct for survival as a people. If they do not regain that instinct they will see their lands divided up among groups whose instincts are as strong as ever. Territory is held only by people who are willing to hold it, and loss of will is an invitation to invasion."

"It is a cold, hard fact that psychiatry spawned the ideology which fired Hitler's mania, turned the Nazis into mass murderers, and created the Holocaust. German psychiatrists violated the core moral principles of the medical profession and the Hippocratic Oath in devising the 'scientific' justification for euthanasia before World War II. In 1920, Alfred Hoche, a professor of psychiatry, and Karl Binding, a jurist, published 'Permission to Destroy Life Unworthy of Life,' equating killing as a 'healing treatment.' They advocated the outright killing of mental defectives, stating that, 'For the idiots . . . the continuation of life for society as well as for the person himself has no value.'

"In April 1940, psychiatrists established the euthanasia program known as 'T4'; between 1939 and 1944, nearly 300,000 'mentally defective' persons met their deaths at the hands of psychiatrists. In 1941, experienced psychiatrists from T4 were sent to the concentration camps to establish their liquidation program as a model for the mass extermination of Jews, Gypsies, Poles and others.

"Only a minority of those psychiatrists responsible for the Nazi killing program were ever prosecuted during the Nuremberg Trials or otherwise. Most returned to comfortable practice in the new Germany republic. Only four psychiatrists were executed or sentenced to prison. This was in part due to the influence of Austrian born psychiatrist Leo T. Alexander, who assisted War Crime Tribunal prosecutors. According to a 1996 paper entitled 'Medical Ethics at Nuremberg: The Nazi Doctors and the Hippocratic Oath,' Alexander wanted the psychiatric profession protected to ensure it regained 'the respect and leadership' he believed it deserved."

"Over the years, parents have been initially baffled when their kid comes home all stressed out about the rain forests or decides to become a vegetarian. We have a whole generation or two of brainwashed environmentalists because the schools have been turned into factories that turn them out like pop-tarts. Do they have a clue about real science? No. Do they have any grasp of geography? No. Can they spell? No. Do they know the difference between the Civil War and the Revolutionary War? No. But they do know that George Washington and Thomas Jefferson were 'slave owners.' They 'know' a lot of things that just aren't true.

"Their ignorance doesn't matter to the schools because it's not what they know that matters to the federal government and Education Establishment. It is what they think. It's whether they have been conditioned to trust Big Brother and do whatever Big Brother says. That's why the testing is so vital. And, please, don't talk to me about school choice. All schools, public and private, are going to teach the same curriculum to achieve the same required results. Otherwise those federal dollars go bye-bye. That's what happens when the federal government controls the schools instead of local communities!

"Do you ever wonder why home-schooled children consistently do better academically than those passing through this mind-numbing system? It's because they concentrate on the basics, on facts, on multiplication tables, on spelling things correctly, on learning how to express themselves, not to please Big Brother, but to please their parents. Until the 1960's this was the way most schools taught children. After that, the 'change agents' took over, transforming the children so they would be ready for a world without borders run by a megalith called the United Nations. Who created the UN? Soviet diplomats aided by members of the US Department of State, all but one of whom was later found to be a member of the Communist Party USA and a secret agent. . . .

"Parents have few real choices at this point other than to educate their children at home if they wish to avoid what everyone, including many concerned educators, agree is a failed system."

"There are many people in America who have been taught that global governance, administered by the U.N., is the next plateau in the evolution of governance, and that failure to acquiesce to the inevitable is irresponsible. This idea is the result of a half-century of careful indoctrination by UNESCO, the National Education Association, the U.N. Association, the World Federalist Society, and a host of other one-world advocates. To those who subscribe to this pint of view, the U.S. Constitution is obsolete; national sovereignty is outdated, and individual freedom must be suppressed for the greater collective good of society."

"America's role and responsibility to the world is neither to fund, nor to conform to the wishes of the United Nations. The first responsibility of the American government is to protect U.S. citizens, and to defend the U.S. Constitution. Acquiescence to U.N. global governance would subject U.S. citizens to policies imposed by unelected bureaucrats in foreign countries, enforced by judges chosen by the very people who seek to control the United States.

"It's time to let the U.N. die."

"[W]e are already living in anarchy. It's a one-sided, 'Alice in Wonderland' anarchy in which liberals always win and conservatives always lose -- and then cheerfully enforce their own defeats. Oh, you see an abortion clause in there? OK, I don't see it, but we'll enforce it. Sodomy, too, you say? OK, it's legal. Gay marriage? Just give us a minute to change the law. No prayer in schools? It's out. Go-go dancing is speech, but protest at abortion clinics isn't? Okey-dokey. No Ten Commandments in the courthouse? Somebody get the number of the monument removal service..

"What passes for 'constitutional law' can be fairly summarized as: Heads we win, tails you lose. The only limit on liberal insanity in this country is how many issues liberals can get before a court.

"Apparently the only thing standing between a government of laws and total anarchy is the fact that conservatives are good losers. If we don't give liberals everything they want, when they want it, anarchy will result. We must obey manifestly absurd court rulings, so that liberals obey court rulings when they lose.

"Point one: They almost never lose. Point two: They already refuse to accept laws they don't like. They do it all the time -- race discrimination bans, bilingual education bans, marijuana bans. They refuse to accept the Electoral college when their candidate wins the popular vote, and they refuse to accept sexual harassment laws when their president is the accused. If you don't let them win every game, they walk off with the football.

"I'm not sure what horror is supposed to befall the nation if the liberals started ignoring the law more than they already do, but apparently it would be even worse than a country in which the Ten Commandments have been stripped from every public space, prayer in schools is outlawed, sodomy is a constitutional right, and more than one million unborn children are aborted every year."

"Consider what Bush is saying with this amnesty [proposal] for 8 million to 12 million illegal aliens and his 'guest workers' program to allow employers to go overseas and hire people anywhere in the world for jobs Americans will not, or cannot take at the wages offered.

"He is saying: I cannot defend our border. I will not enforce the laws. I will not send illegal aliens back. And as I cannot stop this invasion of the United States, I intend to legalize it.

"Bush is not only rewarding millions of law-breakers and gate-crashers, he is erasing the border with Mexico. Mexamerica is our future. The United States is going to become a giant Brazil. Bush is saying there is no way to stop it -- therefore, we must embrace it.

"Ethnically and racially, this means an America that is no longer a First World country. Third World people of color will be the majority in two decades. Americans whose forefathers came from Europe, 90 percent of the population in 1960, will be a shrinking minority by 2040. For not only are the birth rates of white Americans lower than those of immigrants, the new immigrants will be from the Third World. . . .

"Instead of assimilation, we live in an age of racial and ethnic resentments and entitlements, where 'multiculturalism' is in vogue and it is 'racist' to demand immigrants learn the English language.

"But if we no longer worship the same God, honor the same heroes, speak the same language, study the same history, love the same literature or even agree about what is right and wrong, how do we remain one nation and one people? . . . .

"[If the Bush amnesty plan] doesn't work, there is no going back. It is the end of the America we all loved. Why is President Bush taking this risk with our country?"

"America has less freedom of speech today than it has ever had in its history. . . .

"In 1974, for the first time in American history, amendments to the Federal Elections Campaign Act made it illegal in some circumstances for Americans to publish their opinions about candidates for election. . . .

"The Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act of 2002 goes well beyond the 1974 law, imposing substantial limits on the right of political parties and nonprofit organizations to publicize their views on candidates during election campaigns. . . .

"These laws do contain a notable exception. Newspaper owners may spend as much money as they wish publishing arguments in support of candidates with whom they 'coordinate.' This solitary exemption from restrictions on free speech is, of course, no mistake. The dominant newspapers in America are liberal, and the 1974 law was passed by a Democratic Congress on the day before Richard Nixon resigned in disgrace from the presidency. . . .

"There is a good reason why the 2002 Act, like the 1974 law, was voted for by almost every House and Senate Democrat, and opposed by a large majority of Republicans: These laws are primarily about limiting the speech of conservatives."

"We have been focusing on a massive national campaign to 'fix' the schools for the past decade or more. Now we have ultra high-tech, carpeted, air conditioned school buildings with computers and television sets. We have education programs full of new ideas, new methods, and new directions. In the 1990's we set 'national standards,' accountability through 'national testing' with Goals 2000. Through that program we declared that every child would come to school 'ready to learn,' 'no child would be left behind,' and pledged that our kids would be 'second to none' in the world. Above all, we've spent money, money and more money. The result: American students have fallen further behind, placing 19th out of 21 nations in math, 16th in science, and dead last in physics. . . .

"It is a simple fact that over the past twenty years America's education system has been completely restructured to deliberately move away from teaching basic academics to a system that focuses on little more than training students for menial jobs. The fact is, the restructured education system has been designed to deliberately dumb-down the children. . . .

"In 1990, Dr. M. Donald Thomas perfectly outlined the new education system in an article appearing in 'The Effective School Report' entitled 'Education 90: A Framework for the Future.' Thomas said . . . today's education system . . . is designed to de-emphasis academic knowledge; establish the one-world agenda with the United Nations as its center; replace individual achievement with collectivist groupthink ideology and invade the family with an 'It takes a village' mind-set. . . . These ideas permeate every federal program, every national standard, every text book and every moment of your child's school day."

"Hip-hop's in-your-face attitude looks strong and free to kids who feel constrained by expectations of the mundane middle-class world they have grown up in. Rappers have become the most popular attractions on MTV. In an interview on his album 'Home Invasion,' rapper Ice T refers to the 'cultural invasion' that is occurring while unknowing adults sit around with their racist attitudes and their kids sit quietly in their bedrooms, his words pouring into their brains through their headphones: 'Once I get 'em under my f--kin' spell / They may start giving you f--kin' hell,' he raps. 'Start changin' the way they walk, they talk, they act / Now whose fault is that?' The rap world of 'hos and pimps, bitches, muthaf--kers, homeys and police' is an attractive diversion from the 'ordinary' sphere of dental braces, college boards, and dating. The ghetto -- experienced second-hand in movies and music and on the evening news, viewed from the comfort of nice suburban family rooms -- holds enormous drama and appeal for young people."

"As columnist Paul Craig Roberts has put it, 'Law, once a shield of the innocent, is now a weapon in the hands of government.'

"Roberts is referring to a long and dangerous trend to expand the concept of crime to actions, and non-actions, in which no individual is harmed, or threatened with harm. In our time, one can be convicted of a felony and put in jail for killing a turtle, chopping down a tree, draining a swamp, polluting a body of water, and generally, not doing everything that some bureaucrat says you have to do.

"When we study socialist countries -- be they Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union, or too many others -- we find a concept in the law called 'crimes against the state.' These are also sometimes called crimes against the people. In earlier days, they might have been called crimes against the king's peace. Biblically, and Constitutionally, crimes are against individuals, and should result in capital punishment, restitution, or acquittal. Non-criminal damages should lead to restitution. In the 17th and 18th centuries, this was how the criminal justice system operated in America. . . .

"To the extent that the United States has imposed gun controls on a population 'protected' by our Bill of Rights, we have a measure of how socialist our country has become. Our government was founded on the idea that individuals have God-given rights, that need to be protected from that same government. Furthermore, government was seen as having no rights, but only a few well-defined duties. Socialism requires the reversal of our founding premises."

"One of the enduring staples in mad medicine [treatment of the 'insane'] has been the rise and fall of cures. Rarely has psychiatry been totally without a remedy advertised as effective. Whether it be whipping the mentally ill, bleeding them, making them vomit, feeding them sheep thyroids, putting them in continuous baths, stunning them with shock therapies, or severing their frontal lobes -- all such therapies 'worked' at one time, and then, when a new therapy came along, they were suddenly seen in a new light, and their shortcomings revealed. . . .

"That is the story in American mad medicine today: The line between the sane and the not-so-sane is now being drawn in such a way that two-year-olds can be put on 'antipsychotic' medications, and some researchers are busily speculating that their wonderful new drugs can stop an unknown brain-damaging process in people who aren't yet ill. Madness is clearly afoot in American psychiatry, and bad science -- as so often has been the case in mad medicine -- has helped it on its way."

"As the cultural revolution took generations to triumph, it will take generations to roll back. And the great battles will not be political, but moral, intellectual, and spiritual. For the adversary is not another party, but another faith, another way of seeing God and man. And the outcome will be less often decided in Congress than in the schools, the media, and the high court. For the prize contested is the souls of the young. 'We'll get you through your children,' boasted poet Allen Ginsberg in unconscious echo of that other cultural revolutionary, Adolf Hitler: 'If they do not go with us, it does not matter. We already have their children.'

"Needed for victory is not only a conservative spirit, to defend what is right about America and the West, but a counterrevolutionary spirit to recapture lost ground. To preserve their rights, and their right to live as they wished, the Founding Fathers had to become rebels. So shall we."
