A Very Merry Xxxxxxxxx and a Happy New Year! -- a limerick
(Edited in accordance with ACLU guidelines.)
Posted here for: 12-20-04.

With Xxxxxxxxx lights twinkling and merry,
And turkey and sauces cranberry,
- - - On this Xxxxxxxxx day,
- - - I'm anxious to say
A Xxxxxxxxx wish quite customary.

Athletes Deny Knowing They Were Taking Steroids -- a limerick
Posted here for: 12-13-04.

They earnestly try to pretend
They just didn't know, "'til the end".
- - - But what gave them bulk
- - - And made each a hulk,
Did not come from Wheaties, my friend!

The United Nations' Oil-for-Food Scam -- a limerick
Posted here for: 12-6-04.

There simply is no explanation
To justify such exploitation.
- - - Corruption and greed
- - - Became U.N. creed.
It's time to "burn" Kofi's plantation.

Dan Rather Steps Down as CBS Anchor -- a limerick
Posted here for: 11-29-04.

He said that the move to relieve him
Was mutual; it would not grieve him.
- - - He'd gladly step down
- - - With nary a frown.
But, why, pray tell, should we believe him?

Liberals Vowed to Leave the U.S. if Bush Was Re-elected -- a limerick
Posted here for: 11-22-04.

Some liberals promised (my, my)
To kiss this great country bye-bye.
- - - What I'd like to know
- - - Is why don't they go?
Oh yes, of course, liberals lie.

Naming New Members of the U.S. Supreme Court -- a limerick
Posted here for: 11-15-04.

The liberals, at any cost,
Want right-leaning candidates tossed,
- - - And named in their place
- - - A left-leaning face,
But, 'cuse me, the lib'rals just lost!

Election Results -- some limericks
Posted here for: 11-8-04.

Roses are red,
- - - And lots of states, too,
And quite a few more than the states colored blue.

Roses are red,
- - - The lib'rals are blue,
And so are our terrorist enemies, too.
Roses are red,
- - - They're chosen the most,
But they just don't grow well along the left coast.

Roses are red,
- - - You can't make them blue,
But that's what some lawyers sure wanted to do.

Vote Early and Often -- a limerick
Posted here for: 11-1-04.

Some Dems, for just nickels and dimes,
Will vote maybe eight or ten times.
- - - And why shouldn't they
- - - On election day?
'Cause they don't get caught for their crimes.

What Color Is the USA?
Posted here for: 10-25-04.

What color is the USA? The lib'rals want it red:
A communist dictatorship, when all is done and said,
A government all powerful, where people must comply
With faceless bureaucratic whim, and never question why.

What color is the USA? The eco-nuts say green,
Where Mother Nature's master, and we can not intervene,
Where pigs and pups and people all are viewed as all the same,
Where policy decisions all are made in Gaia's name.

What color is the USA? Some racists would recite
That any color would be fine, except the color white.
For whites, espec'lly men, are bad, exploitive, evil, mean.
They are a blight upon the earth: oppressive and obscene.

What color is the USA? The sodomites say pink,
They want to spread perversion quite untethered, don't you think?
They've no respect for marriage, none, nor even family,
For nothing trumps their passion and their promiscuity.

What color is the USA? Elitists want it blue,
The color of the U.N. flag, that's what they ballyhoo,
With unelected governing and tyranny worldwide.
This choice for these United States would be pure suicide.

What color is the USA? Some, yellow, they would choose.
For they would hide from danger and they'd run from threat'ning news.
They demonstrate much more concern for perpetrators who
Attack, and are the scoundrels, than the victims, me and you.

What color is the USA? I say: red, white, and blue!
In step with all the principles our Founders knew were true.
This is a grand republic (not a mere democracy),
Where equal treatment under law is this land's guarantee.

But many wish to change our stripes and dump this country's ways,
And now embrace new values, which will number freedom's days.
These folks they are not patriots who lead us off our course.
They're terrorists, make no mistake; they are an evil force.

Lt. Col. Bill Burkett and the CBS Memogate Incident -- a limerick
Posted here for: 10-18-04.

He didn't expect he would fail
When he told his scandalous tale.
- - - His biggest mistake:
- - - The memo was fake!
So why isn't he now in jail?

The CBS Memogate Scandal -- a limerick
Posted here for: 10-11-04.

The CBS folks had a plot
To take at George Bush a pot shot.
- - - This time they were caught.
- - - But, wait, here's a thought:
Just how many times were they not?

The Monumental Battle
Posted here for: 10-4-04.

A little kid so long ago with trepidation looked
Upon his future and his fate; how would his life be booked?
He saw a world of treachery; so lacking, in his view,
Of values that this parents taught, he wondered how he'd do.

Can truth, within a sea of lies, prevail against the tide?
Can righteousness withstand an evil river, deep and wide?
How can the game of life be played -- moreover, can be won --
When you observe a set of rules so many others shun?

But now that "kid" looks forward with a fearfulness anew,
For now his kids and grandkids, they must face that question, too.
But over intervening years the moral climate slips.
Can they endure the challenge? Can they fight apocalypse?

The moral battle rages. Daily it intensifies.
With good or evil standing as the hard-fought-after prize.
Each generation comes to face depravity and sin
And chooses to oppose those forces, or to let them win.

What's the Message? -- a limerick
Posted here for: 9-27-04.

The John Kerry/John Edwards slate
Is characterized by a trait:
- - - No positive plan --
- - - Not from either man --
Just anger and venom and hate.

CBS Folks Use Fraud to Help Kerry -- a limerick
Posted here for: 9-20-04.

So now as the voting day nears,
The CBS bias appears:
- - - They're caught in a lie.
- - - Oh gracious, oh my!
Good grief; they have done that for years!

He Voted "Yes" Before He Voted "No" -- a limerick
Posted here for: 9-13-04.

There once was a fellow named Kerry,
A liberal guy (I'll say! Very!),
- - - Who'd flip and then flop
- - - (He just couldn't stop).
He wants to be prez. Now, that's scary!

The Perfect Storm -- a limerick
Posted here for: 9-6-04.

The wind I can no longer bear.
It causes dismay and despair.
- - - I'm not talking Frances
- - - Or twisters in Kansas,
I'm talking John Kerry's hot air!

My Safari in Zambia and South Africa
Posted here for: 8-30-04.

The animals that I did see --
I saw a multiplicity --
Were great and small and in between,
And made a most delightful scene.

The elephant, and ostrich, too,
The hippo, rhino, even shrew,
Giraffe, and croc, and running hare,
The buffalo; they all were there.

Safari is a thrill for me,
To witness nature's majesty,
But I am shocked on my return
At what I find and what I learn.

You see, with Kerry's henchmen strong,
Who shilly-shally all day long,
And with their frantic fibbing flair,
There's much more lyin' here than there!

Starving the Poor -- a limerick
Posted here for: 8-23-04.

The lib'rals have banned Freon, too;
As killing off folks they pursue.
- - - When food's not preserved,
- - - The poor are ill-served,
And many, with death, rendezvous.

Malaria Enthusiasts -- a limerick
Posted here for: 8-2-04.

The lib'rals have banned DDT
And killed many millions, you see.
- - - They like the mosquito.
- - - They think it is neat-o.
So, whom do they hate? You and me.

Al Gore Endorses Waterless Toilets -- a limerick
Posted here for: 7-26-04.

They say they've worked out all the kinks
Of waterless toilets, methinks.
- - - Al Gore says they're great,
- - - Top notch, and top rate,
But I think the idea stinks!

Reading the New York Times
Posted here for: 7-19-04.

I didn't see it in the Times; I'm sure it isn't true
That Bush has some successes -- yes -- and Rumsfeld, Cheney, too;
That economic news is good; his tax cuts did the trick;
That terrorism must be fought -- a fight that's tough, not quick;

That Kerry has a lot of friends, but they're our enemies;
That he won't take an action if it won't the U.N. please;
That Senate votes he's made would leave our military weak;
That what he said of Vietnam was treason (so to speak).

I didn't see it in the Times; I'm sure it couldn't be
That there is massive bias in the printed words I see;
That Clinton was a wretched prez: a flop, a grand disgrace,
But Reagan was colossus: in the sun he's found his place;

That scientists apenty say the global warming "goal"
(This hoax contrived by lib'rals) is to give them more control.
I read the paper front to back. I do it faithfully.
The Times is good and decent -- they would never lie to me.

Bill Clinton's Book: Everything But Substance -- a limerick
Posted here for: 7-12-04.

He was our commander in chief.
His scandals were beyond belief.
- - - He's written a book --
- - - A most-wordy look
At himself, but pray tell, where's the beef?

(No, I haven't read the book, and I do not plan to do so. Various reviewers have, however, and almost without exception, they have criticized it severely.)

America's the Greatest -- a limerick
Posted here for: 6-28-04.

Our blessings we should not deny.
Our bounty we can't quantify.
- - - Through peace and through war
- - - We should give thanks for
Our freedom this fourth of July!

Liberal Military Policy -- a limerick
Posted here for: 6-21-04.

They want us to just go away;
Depart Iraq without delay.
- - - They'll then say retreat
- - - Is utter defeat.
For some on the left that's okay.

Liberals and Reagan -- a limerick
Posted here for: 6-14-04.

They hated his passion and might,
His honesty, honor, yes, quite.
- - - But they were all wrong --
- - - They were all along --
And President Reagan was right!

A Man for the People -- a limerick
Posted here for: 6-14-04.

The press pitched him spit balls and curves
And insults to rattle his nerves,
- - - But when those who spoke
- - - Were just common folk
He got the respect he deserves.

The Mainstream Media React to Ronald Reagan: Then and Now -- a limerick
Posted here for: 6-7-04.

'Twas loathing to dusk from each dawn,
Resembling a "hate" telethon.
- - - The media bashed him
- - - And gleefully trashed him,
But say nice things now that he's gone.

It's Too Late -- a limerick
Posted here for: 5-31-04.

Reports say attack is now near
By terrorists whom we should fear.
- - - Can we maintain order?
- - - Let's just close the border!
The problem: they're already here.

WMD in Iraq -- a limerick
Posted here for: 5-24-04.

A chemical weapon is found
Right there in Iraq -- on the ground.
- - - Do you think Heusen,
- - - In his wild campaign,
Would stop after making one round?

My Life, Bill Clinton's Book, Will be Released Next Month -- a limerick
Posted here for: 5-17-04.

It will be a glowing depiction
Of Bill and Hill; that's my prediction:
- - - They're witty, they're wise,
- - - They never tell lies.
It's clear that the book will be fiction.

Unwarranted Abuse -- a limerick
Posted here for: 5-10-04.

These poor men, the Army alleges,
Weren't beaten with hammers and sledges,
- - - But taunted and teased,
- - - While garments were seized;
As bad as fraternity pledges!

Jamie Gorelock and the 9-11 Commission -- a limerick
Posted here for: 5-3-04.

She'll gladly admit to the claim
She played a key role in the game
- - - Of being the hack
- - - That helped the attack,
But only if Bush takes the blame.

Proposed "Exit" Strategy for the War with Iraq -- a limerick
Posted here for: 4-26-04.

The left says the war can't be won.
So what, says the left, should be done?
- - - Declare our defeat --
- - - It's simple, it's neat --
Then turn, like the Spanish, and run!

Mainstream Media Describe Iraq -- a limerick
Posted here for: 4-19-04.

"It's like Viet Nam," they all say,
A most ignominious day:
- - - The U.S. defeated,
- - - Disgraced and retreated.
It will be, if they get their way!

The U.S. Economy -- a limerick
Posted here for: 4-12-04.

John Kerry observes with dismay
A strong economic display:
- - - The stock market's sound
- - - And new jobs abound,
Enhancing the Bush resumé.

Liberals Attempt Talk Radio -- Again -- a limerick
Posted here for: 4-5-04.

Al Franken's now on the airways,
The lib'ral agenda to praise.
- - - His incessant cry:
- - - "Republicans lie."
My guess: he won't last 90 days.

Richard Clarke Contradicts Himself -- a limerick
Posted here for: 3-29-04.

The charges he leveled are vast;
A mighty political blast.
- - - But "facts" that he picked
- - - Quite simply conflict
With things he has said in the past.

Terrorists Perfect Their New Election Strategy in Spain -- a limerick
Posted here for: 3-22-04.

They think they can now win a race
Without velvet tongue, smiling face.
- - - Campaigning's passé;
- - - Before voting day,
They simply will blow up the place.

Battling Bush -- a limerick
Posted here for: 3-15-04.

John Kerry's just one of his foes,
Who wish to George, Junior depose.
- - - The media, too,
- - - Will, him, barbecue
With fraud and deceit, I suppose.

"The Passion of the Christ" -- a limerick
Posted here for: 3-8-04.

The critics were brutal, 'tis true.
Yes, into a wild rage they flew.
- - - They told Mel to shove it;
- - - They sure didn't love it,
But all of the rest of us do.

Liar's Competition -- a limerick
Posted here for: 3-1-04.

Bill Clinton's lies: they're legendary.
For him, truth is just arbitrary.
- - - But now comes a liar,
- - - A new falsifier,
Who may surpass Bill: he's John Kerry.

Homosexuals Are Illegally Married in San Francisco -- a limerick
Posted here for: 2-23-04.

The liberal attitude toward
Our laws is in general: accord.
- - - Except they get antsy
- - - With laws they don't fancy,
And these laws are simply ignored.

Our First President -- a limerick
Posted here for: 2-16-04.

The day of George Washington's birth
We used to think merited worth.
- - - But now PC guys
- - - Say that isn't wise,
'Cause George is the scum of the earth.

Janet Jackson Explains the Boob-on-the-Tube Incident -- a limerick
Posted here for: 2-9-04.

I don't for a minute believe
Her latest attempt to deceive,
- - - 'Cause MTV knew
- - - And CBS, too.
So what do they think -- I'm naive?

Harvesting Rich Martian Rewards -- a limerick
Posted here for: 2-2-04.

A scientist's sand box, deluxe,
Swell photos of red dust; aw, shucks.
- - - We've now sent to Mars
- - - Two cute little cars.
Is that worth a cool billion bucks?

The Media Proclaimed Dean Will Win -- a limerick
Posted here for: 1-26-04.

Dean will be the winner, they said.
Polls showed he was clearly ahead.
- - - Now I'm not naive;
- - - Why should I believe
Their "wisdom", up with which I'm fed!

Global Warming Not Caused by Humans* -- a limerick
Posted here for: 1-19-04.

The greens got their story dead wrong.
"Mankind is to blame," was their song.
- - - Their "science" was flawed;
- - - More simply: 'twas fraud,
What some of us knew all along.

*As reported in "Global Warming: The Worst of All Environmental Scares," by Senator James Inhofe, Human Events, 8-4-03, pages 12, 13, 20, 21, and 22, and in numerous other publications. Address: 1 Massachusetts Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20001. Phone: 202-216-0600. Website.

The Illegal Immigrant Amnesty Plan: Bad, Bad, Bad for America! -- a limerick
Posted here for: 1-12-04.

With amnesty, it has been said,
George Bush will make lots more states red.
- - - But if they'd turn blue,
- - - I wish he would do
What's best for the country instead.

Happy New Year -- a limerick
Posted here for: 1-5-04.

With scandal and outrage galore,
And murder and raping and war
- - - In two thousand three;
- - - Just what will we see
Forthcoming in two thousand four?
