Comment: So Barack Obama is on record as favoring reparations. Harper’s Magazine has estimated that the total reparations due is over 100 trillion dollars. I guess that should destroy America about as well as any other Obama program. Personally, I prefer this reparations plan: Every American who presently owns slaves should give a million dollars to every American who presently is a slave.

Comment: McClatchy Newspapers reports that congressional officials say (as of March 2, 2009) the $410 billion omnibus spending bill Congress is sending to Mr. Obama has 9,000 earmarks totaling $5 billion. That's 9,000 earmarks! I guess we're learning campaign rhetoric has absolutely nothing to do with actual intentions, or the truth. Oh, by the way, Obama himself sponsored millions of dollars in earmarks in the spending bill.

Comment: Human Events says, "According to the U.S. Department of State, the United States has approximately 2.3 million Muslims (0.8% of the total population). Comment: David Dieteman comments that a "living constitution" means that, "rather than having the meaning of the words on the paper, the federal constitution means whatever it ought to mean at a given time. It necessarily follows from this that it will not mean the same thing at different times. [. . .] [A] 'living' constitution is no constitution at all -– it is in fact nothing." And that's the point: if constitutional meaning can be twisted and turned at whim, then those in power can totally corrupt it. And that, of course, is exactly what so many on the left wish to do.

"Coincidentally," while she was working there, the hospital received over a million dollars of your tax dollars as an earmark. It has been reported that her "vital" job has now been quietly eliminated.

Comment: It would seem Mr. Olbermann suffers from the same affliction many liberals apparently have to deal with: a visceral hatred of all things conservative, and most particularly George Bush. Wikipedia reports Olbermann said it was necessary to tell a national TV audience that George Bush should "Shut the hell up!" because he couldn't say "f*ck" on television
