"Who really cares about it being unconstitutional?"

Comment: Who cares if it's unconstitutional? All patriotic Americans who respect the rule of law and believe the Constitution must be followed as the law of the land. If there are those in positions of power who believe they can pick and choose what laws to abide by, then anarchy prevails and our Constitution is meaningless. Sadly, the thinking of many politicians is in accord with that of Ms. Payne. For example, all those who believe the U.S. Constitution is a living, evolving document.

Nancy Pelosi

Elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1987, she served as the 60th Speaker of the body from January 4, 2007 to January 3, 2011.
Quote
"Every week we don’t pass a Stimulus package, 500 million Americans lose their jobs."

In a statement broadcast on C-SPAN February 4, 2009.

Comment: Wow, that's pretty serious. In just one month, more people lose their jobs in the U.S. than there are people living in the U.S.! You'll remember Ms. Pelosi is the one who said, "We have to pass the (Obamacare) bill so you can find out what is in it." How in heaven's name did she become elected to the House of Representatives, and then become Speaker? Oh, that's right, she's a Democrat, representing the 8th Congressional District of California, which consists of four-fifths of the City and County of San Francisco.
If a Republican had said such silliness, he or she would be laughed out the door. And properly so! We shouldn't allow buffoons to run around Congress!

Michael Pfleger

A Roman Catholic priest and social activist in Chicago, Illinois. He has preached at Trinity United, Barack Obama's church for some 20 years or so.

Comment: Father Pfleger has said a number of controversial things from the pulpit. Here's an example of his preaching that Hillary believes she should be President because she's white and "She's entitled."

Comment: Under the leadership of Pastor Jeremiah Wright, the Trinity United Church has been dedicated to what's called "Black Liberation Theology." There seems to be a lot of racism in BLT. (More. More.)

Mark Potok

Spokesman and director of publications and information for the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) in Montgomery, Alabama.
Quote
"Hate groups topped 1,000 for the first time since the Southern Poverty Law Center began counting such groups in the 1980s. But by far the most dramatic growth came in the antigovernment 'Patriot' movement -- conspiracy-minded organizations that see the federal government as their primary enemy -- which gained more than 300 new groups, a jump of over 60 percent. Taken together, these three strands of the radical right -- the hatemongers, the nativists and the antigovernment zealots -- increased from 1,753 groups in 2009 to 2,145 in 2010, a 22-percent rise."

Writing in the Spring 2011 issue of the SPLC's quarterly magazine Intelligence Report, in an article titled "The Year in Hate & Extremism."

Comment: Joseph Farah, WorldNetDaily founder and CEO says, "How strange it is in a land founded through the courage and convictions of patriots 230 years ago that the word 'patriot' can now be used as an epithet by people like the SPLC. What does this say about them? And what does it say when the worst thing conspiracy mongers like SPLC can find to say about you is that you are 'conspiracy minded'? The federal government has indeed become a primary enemy of freedom because it has abrogated the rule of law and shredded the Constitution. This is not a hateful thing to say. It's a loving and truthful message -- if you believe in liberty and restoring America to its promise. I know SPLC does not fit into that category. It seeks only to divide Americans over race, class and religion -- for profit, by the way."

Retired four-star general in the United States Army, he was U.S. Secretary of State from 2001 to 2005. He also served as National Security Advisor (1987–1989), Commander-in-Chief, U.S. Army Forces Command (1989), and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (1989–1993).
Quote
"Americans do want to pay taxes for services. Americans are looking for more government in their life, not less."

In remarks to corporate security executives in Washington DC in early May, 2009, at a conference sponsored by Fortify Software Incorporated.

Comment: Such a comment reflects fundamental liberalism, but Powell claims he's a Republican. A label, however, doesn't change a vessel's contents. Powell makes liberal remarks because deep down inside he's a dyed-in-the-wool liberal.
