SAWGRASS REBELLION

It is time to choose. Whose side are you on?
The side of silly science? Or the side of reason, logic, and truth?
The side of bugs, beatles, and biodiversity? Or the side of good, honest Americans?
The side of massive governmental control? Or the side of private property?
The side of subservience to the state? Or the side of freedom?

These are the issues at the heart of the Sawgrass Rebellion. These are the issues that will determine the future of America. These are the issues that We the People must address, understand, and act upon, if the vision of our Founding Fathers is to remain intact.

The time is now near at hand which must probably determine whether Americans are to be freemen or slaves; whether they are to have any property they can call their own; whether their houses and farms are to be pillaged and destroyed, and themselves cosigned to a state of wretchedness from which no human efforts will deliver them.

-- General George Washington
In his general order to the Continental Army, July 2, 1776
As quoted in "Worth Repeating," The New American, July 29, 2002, page 23.

The moment the idea is admitted into society that property is not as sacred as the laws of God, and there is not a force of law and public justice to protect it, anarchy and tyranny commence.

-- John Adams
As quoted in Resource Roundup, July 2002, page 14.

If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude [greater] than the animating contest of freedom -- go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hand which feeds you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen!

-- Samuel Adams
In a speech before the Philadelphia State House, August 1, 1776
As quoted in "Worth Repeating," The New American, July 29, 2002, page 23.
